Crossroads 2

In partnership with Correctional Home for Juveniles, Youth Council Krusevac implemented continuation of project “Crossroads” – support to social integration of young offenders and ex offenders in the field of employment, which was supported by Solidar Suiss (Switzerland).

Project “Crossroads 2” had the aim to contribute to higher level of social inclusion of young offenders from Correctional Home for Juveniles in Krusevac through introduction of post penal services, in the field of employment and active job search.

EVS - Mellerud meets Europe



Within the European Voluntary Service (EVS) programme, young people can spend up to 12 months abroad as European volunteers helping in local projects in various fields. EVS represents Action 2 of the Youth in Action Programme.

In September 2012 Youth Council Krusevac has started its first EVS project as a sending organization. In cooperation with Swedish organizations, Europa Direkt Fyrbodal and Melleruds Kommun, our volunteer started his one year long EVS within the project “Mellerud meets Europe”
 

One of us



Youth Council Krusevac hosted an international training course “One of us” from 26th of October until 2nd of November 2011. Participants came from six countries (Serbia, France, Malta, Slovenia, Macedonia and Lithuania), and the project was financed by European Commission’s programme “Youth in Action”.
 

Crossroads

The project “Crossroads” was continuation of Youth Council’s Krusevac previous project “Count on us”; it lasted from February until October 2011, and it was supported by Swiss organization Swiss Labour Assistance.
The aim of the project was to contribute to social inclusion of young female offenders and ex offenders from Correctional Home for Juveniles in Krusevac through education about employability, supporting the process of their employment and adaptation to work conditions after they leave the institution. 

Low budget dreams


Project „Low budget Dreams“ lasted from July to November 2010, and it was supported by European Youth Foundation, Council of Europe. The main aim of the project was to contribute to social inclusion of young offenders from Correctional Home for Juveniles in Krusevac and support their integration in society through usage of video media as a democratic tool for communication with society. Indicated understands strengthening self-confidence and pro-social values of young offenders through video expression of their aspirations and promotion of innovative ways of youth participation.

There is a way out



“There is a way out” is a project resulting from Youth Council’s previous work with young female offenders in Correctional Home for Juveniles in Krusevac. The project got together young offenders and local young volunteers through organization of joint activities in the institution. Realization of the project has started in April and will last until October 2010, and the project is financially supported by Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC, USAID).

Count on us



Project “Count on us!” started in February 2010 and have lasted for five months. The target group within this project was young female offenders from Correctional Home for Juveniles in Krusevac. The project was financially supported by Swiss organization “Swiss Labour assistance”.

Dancing in the rain



New international youth exchange was realized in Krusevac, in the period from 24th-31st of October 2009. Twenty participants from Krusevac and Beverley (UK) spent together eight days in order to explore and compare current levels of youth provision in these two cities and these two countries.

Youth exchange „Angels in Action“



International youth exchange was organised in Krusevac from 11th until 19th of July 2009, in partnership with youth organisations from Newcastle (UK), Tirana (Albania), and Skopje (Macedonia). There were 47 young participants from these four countries, age between 15 to 20 years old, and the project was supported by European Commission’s program „Youth in Action Programme“ through British Council in London.

Future is in your hands



Youth Council Krusevac finished realization of the project „Future is in your hands“, which was organised in partnership with Correctional Home for Juveniles in Krusevac, and it was oriented towards young offenders in this institution. The project lasted three months, and 12 workshops were held around the subject of youth and social entrepreneurship. These workshops were organised by members of YCK, volunteers and professionals in the field of psychology.

Together for Europe


Youth Council Krusevac is one of the partners to Belgrade Open School and Fund for Open Society within a project “European union in my community – more efficient and more rational development policies in process of EU integrations”. The aim of this project is to strengthen capacities of civil society organizations in process of EU integrations on local level, and the project itself is consisted of two educational programs, and virtual – online school.
