Dancing in the rain



New international youth exchange was realized in Krusevac, in the period from 24th-31st of October 2009. Twenty participants from Krusevac and Beverley (UK) spent together eight days in order to explore and compare current levels of youth provision in these two cities and these two countries.

The exchange was realized within European programme for young people - “Youth in Action Programme”. Besides interactive educational and fun workshops, it was discussed about the importance of having adequate care for youth in the field of crime prevention, health care, education and social inclusion. Peers from Serbia and UK concluded that, in both cases, it is necessary to form a Youth club where local young people would gather to spent qualitative free time together and organize additional educational activities. These propositions were presented to local citizens and local authorities on the final event, which these young people were preparing during their week together in Krusevac.

Participants also visited Belgrade and Vrnjacka spa, and young English were especially satisfied with hospitality, evening going outs and the time spent with local youth.
